Wall light: the little touch of decor and more in your spaces

Original and sometimes indispensable, the wall light does not fit in the same way in every room of the house. Depending on your desires and needs, some models of wall sconces will be preferred, inside and out. Let's see how to enhance your lighting and decoration with the wall light.

The wall light inside the house

An indoor LED wall light can highlight an entire room as long as it is selected correctly and in keeping with the rest of the decor. Between the living rooms, the bathroom or the kitchen, the choice is not the same.

LED-wall sconces in living rooms

In the living room, bedroom or office, the lighting has several functions, including that of bringing a cozy atmosphere to the room. Unlike the ceiling lamp, an interior LED lighting on the walls allows to bring more softness and to put the complexion in value thanks to the appliques placed at the height of a man in the rooms. In living rooms, we are looking for aesthetics and comfort. The wall light makes it possible to satisfy these two characteristics. The power of the lamps is less important because these spaces have multiple sources of lighting. Depending on the style of decoration you like, you can choose between wall sconces design or opt for more classic models. Try, as much as possible, to match all models together in one room. In the living room, a wall lamp can also be used to highlight a painting or decorative object if you choose a downlight. In this case, choose a cold white lighting color, which is ideal for valuing objects.

The LED wall lamp in the bathroom

The wall sconces Bathroom abound but they must be carefully chosen to fulfill their function. In this particular room, ceiling lighting is generally not recommended if it is used alone: it must be completed with at least one LED lights around the main mirror. The color temperature of the wall light in the bathroom should be chosen to highlight the complexion: preferably choose a neutral white or warm white LED bulb. These shades tend to brighten the face, as opposed to the cold white that tends to make the complexion pale. An industrial wall light, very soft, can also be chosen. You can opt for two wall sconces on each side of the mirror or a wall lamp with multiple screw-on bulbs above: the choice is only a question of aesthetics.

Wall lighting in the kitchen

In a kitchen, you can choose wall lighting but it is strongly recommended to opt for a downlight that illuminates the worktop. That's why we recommend instead recessed LED spotlights to be placed under tall furniture or shelves to make lighting more convenient. These recessed spotlights can also be placed on the ceiling to illuminate strategic locations. If you still decide to opt for a wall lamp in the kitchen, always choose a downward beam and prefer this type of lighting to highlight the wall decoration. The spots will be much more useful and they can be quite aesthetic, even in a classic kitchen, thanks to their discretion. A wall lamp can also be used to enhance the dining area if you have a small kitchen.

The wall light outside the fireplace

Wall light is often overlooked outside the house, but it is very important, especially to allow you to spend pleasant summer evenings with family or friends. However, it is necessary to choose very specific lighting to avoid problems.

A wall light on the terrace

If you have the chance to enjoy a pleasant terrace or even a balcony in your house or apartment, the installation of outdoor wall lights is essential. The power must be the first criterion of choice for your wall model: depending on the mood you want to create, the light intensity will not be the same. The more you like a cozy atmosphere, the more you choose a low power bulb. Depending on the size of your terrace or balcony, it is advisable to place at least one wall light , ideally two on each side of the window or bay window. The rest of the lighting can be complemented by more decorative patterns such as outdoor light garlands.

Wall sconces in the garden

A priori, outdoor wall sconces are not appropriate in the garden unless you have a beautiful house facade. In this case, some exterior LED wall lights fixed on your facade will strongly emphasize the architecture of your house. You can also place outdoor LED spotlights if you have built garden furniture in your space. Such spots can also be placed in wooden columns placed on a stone path or pebbles in the garden. Again, be sure to choose a lighting power that is not too low or too high. Too little power will prevent you from seeing very bright in the middle of the night and too much power tends to blind people around you and to attract swarms of insects of all kinds. Be careful also to opt for a wall light with a degree of protection waterproof.
